2nd trip to edinburg
My sem 6 holiday just started and to celebrate this me and my housemate planned a trip to Edinburg. The visit was what i awaited so much as my previous visit was very exciting and fun, furthermore this time there will be some fireworks event. Thanks to Anson , we managed to book a hostel and whats amazing is,its located just beside the Edinburg castle. The first day we decided to travel around Edinburg.Although i went to the same place as i went for my first visit,it never bored me.The view is just amazing and spectacular and moreover it was quite enjoyable to walk with my housemates. We really have a great time.On our way we do met some of our friends. We finally reached holyrood(not hollywood) park. The park actually quite a big hill that we can climb over.Last time ,i miss the chance to explore this hill so i really hope to climb this time. The view above the hill was amazing and it is much higher than Calton hill and Edinburg’s Castle. We really have some fun time up there doing different pose especially the ‘Starfish Jump’[Ron if you're reading this you should know what I mean :)].
The view from the holyrood park
We then walk back home and on our way we explore to ‘unknown’ place accidentaly. Here, i find something that i can’t believe ,a field that is so large that i think a baseball stadium can fit.If only Malaysia have such a field.
Anyway we managed to reach our hostel and prepared for the main event which are the fireworks.Around 8.30 pm,we reach at the Princes street and we can see such an amazing crowd. Although, the fireworks is launched at the castle which is quite far from where we were, the blossom of the fireworks really amazed me.
This is the best that i can snap. You can’t believe how difficult i tried to take this photo
The next day ,me and my housemates separate into two groups ,one went to take a trip around Edinburg and the others went to the zoo. Since I never been to Edinburg’s zoo, thus i decided to go there. So me, Anson and Shu Ning finally reached to the zoo after taking 1- pound bus.
The famous thing that i know about this zoo ,is the marching penguins. Here, i saw a lot of animals that’s impossible to see in Malaysian zoo. Moreover, the zoo is quite big and it was quite fascinating that they really make the animal’s habitat as similar as the real one’s.One of them is the red panda. At first it was quite dissappointment since the animal slept on the top of the tall tree but luckily for us the panda actually walk down and believe me it’s face look quite cute.
Other than the panda i also saw jaguar, leopard, lemurs, stoke, polar bear, different type of monkeys and not to forget the penguins and much more.
One thing I learn is that the 2 tonne rhino actually have a very sensitive feets (I was wondering what will happen if its leg is being tickled).Without realizing we spend more than 3 hours in the zoo. After the zoo, we went to to Calton hill and the Edinburg’s park.As they say all good things must come to end ,and its finally time to say goodbye. As the train goes, I was wondering will i be able to come to this place again?Anyways, the great time i spend here will surely be a lifetime moments that i won’t forget. It’s time to go back (Surprise:the picture above is really a real clock)

Part 5: Spring cleaning
Last Friday, me and my housemates decided to do some serious spring cleaning. The living room which previously look like a ’store room’ has now look like it supposed to be. Brand clean and new. Finally we can see some sunshine while eating our meals:).Its amazing, how when all 9 of us(including Khai yong’s housemates) work together,it takes less than an hour to clean it up. Who say cleaning doesn’t earn you anything. I do get a small tripod and a heater. All these came from the seniors’ stuff they left at our place. My finest achievement is to scrub the electric stove to the nearly new state. But i wonder how long it will last..ha ha ha.
My new living room…..How i waited for this day to come:)
At least its much much much much cleaner than before
my new and cute tripod and what’s more its free..
PS: Finally there’s a blender in our house, which means that i can blend the dried chillies to make ‘chilli sos’.

Part 4 :Edinburg and Potter
The trip to Edinburg was quite fun and memorable for me. It takes around 1 hour journey to there by bus.The view of the ciy was spectacular especially when you look it from above the hill (calton Hill).I have a fun time snapping pictures here and there.I then went to see Edinburg’s Castle. The experience of going into the castle was undeniable ,( although a part of me screaming due to its high fee entrance which is around RM77),since before this i only heard about this astounding building from fairy tale and story books. In edingburg also there’s a building call Balmore. Nothing special about this building except that a part of Harry Potter’s book (no idea about the volume) is written in there. And talking about Harry Potter’s book, the release of it’s final book was on last Saturday. After a dissapointment of its fifth movie, this book is like a source of remedy for it. Strangely ,the last book come out when I’m In UK as i expected it to come out last year.So buying it here feels a little bit difference than others since this is the place where the sories originate. Unfortunately, I don’t have time to read it as this 3 weeks are quite busy for me,packs with exam and assignment deadline….sigh….

One thing about studying in foreign country is that you tend to travel a lot and not to forget taking a lot of picture.Although Glasgow is not as interesting as london,it has its own attraction. One of them is their museum ,Kelvingrove museum, which is astoundingly big where from outside it looks like a castle and believe me it is much exciting compared to Muzium Negara.Basically there are three floor.A lot of things such as mummies, art from italy, spain and etc, organ (the big piano with large whistle on it ),sculpture, fossil and dinosour replica, and the list goes on.After 3 hour exploring the so called chambers of musuem, still we didn’t manage to inspect all the items in it.I already plan to go again next time.So it’s proven that educational trip can be fun.Anyway, that’s all for now.

Last week was quite fun for me. Me and my housemates prepare a variety of M’sian food everyday. Thanks to Ron who bring all the rempah ratus and perencah. On Monday we have ‘nasi ayam’,tuesday we have nasi goreng ,wednesday mee bandung(since i can’t find any tomato puree,i swicthed it to cream of tomato soup and it made the foods look orange instead the usual red),thursday mee goreng and friday bihun goreng.By know i already master the way to find cheap ingredient for cooking. Thanks to the senior for giving us this valueable info. Last week also i bought a new handphone and since this is the first time i used colour handphone,i’m quite excited about it. Still learning and experimenting its complicated function.Anyway, bye for now.

Here i am in scotland.First impression of this country is that its’ freakin cold and worst it is summer.Wonder whether i can survived or not in winter :)Anyway need to get use of it as soon as possible.Despite the weather and the intensive sem 6 all are quite exciting .The scenery here are quite different than M’sia especially the structure and architectural design of their houses.by the way ,yesterday was my official first time of cooking fried rice in glasgow. Before this only eat frozen food, which is quit famous here, and cheap (5 box for 2 pound). Despite the lack of ingredient that i wanted the most,"sambal",i manage to make it edible. Now,loooking forward to do mee bandung,my favourite noodle.Really hope they sell tomato puree.Anyway that’s all for now. Need to prepare for classes. Bye.

Finally, it is confirmed that my flight will be this 5th June. Sigh…..after this I’ll miss Malaysia and my home sweet home. Surely will miss my mom’s cooking. After this, need to get use eating owns cooking. Hopefully it will be edible ….ha ,ha, ha. Now I know how tough cooking is. Cooking is like an art plus science. Every foods has its own way of cuttings and preparations. We must be vigilant at all time especially when frying, if not you will be eating ‘hangus’ stuff . Yet, with all this complicated stuff, there’s some excitement since I‘ll be coming to a new place and new people to meet and not to mention my first time taking an aeroplane. Wonder what awaits me in Scotland???
Uncategorized | Comment (0)Times & its significance
I always hear people saying time flies whenever you having fun but goes very slow when you feel quite boring. Yet, in reality each of us is given with 24 hours a day, not more and not less. Its just our thought that make us feel its longer or short. However no matter what people things about its rate of flow, times never stop for us. It is up to us to make use of it in the most approriate ways. Its already almost 2 and half year i’m in IMU. During this time , I was wondering what I’ve been doing througout this time, is it something that i can be proud of or something that i cherished?. My reflection makes me remind how i met with my friends and how i began to know them as a person, the time i spent with them, happy and sad ones and the hardship that we went together to reach this stage.Eventhough this is consider normal for some people, for me it is priceless (you can’t buy it anywhere) and shouldn’t be forgotten.

Yesterday was marked as the day of me finishing hospital attachment (yahoo) which means sem 5 is officially finished. For those who haven’t finished it, enjoy it to the max:) The attachment was an experience that i won’t forget. Many new things are learned and it also proves that things you learnt theoretically are not necessarily applied practically. It also gives me a new perspective about hospital pharmacist as they’re jobs is more challenging and tough, yet they learnt a lot of things that cannot be obtained by other type of pharmacist. In a way, i do want to become clinical pharmacist, but this is not final as i still got 1 more year to complete my course:).
Other than attachment, the result for sem 5 was supposed to be released last Monday but somehow it was postpone to future dates. This is really annoying, as the longer you wait the more anxious you are.It never happened before. Anyway I hope that it will come out this week. Please!!!
